(he/him 🏳️‍⚧️ ) Hi! I’m a 30+ writer of adult Queer romance (you might know me as one half of the Iris Foxglove duo) and a fiend for folklore. My books are usually nsfw 🔞 My new M/M romance is coming out in early 2026!
Me and my tendency to find a new book plot out of a side character who shows up maybe five times

This is the second book where a side character ends up in a sapphic romance in the background, but oh my god do I wish I could just write her version of the book from her perspective, because it would be WILD

The problem with having gone to therapy for a billion years due to -vague gesturing- is that when I reach out to a new professional for help, the response is usually, “wow, you’re so self-aware!”

Yeah man, I can be aware of a panther following me, but that doesn’t stop the panther from jumping!

Signing up for various ebook sites and seeing “hi, (very feminine deadname!)” after I enter my tax info is… fun

Oh my god, I just had a shock from my academia days when I stumbled across something my old advisor wrote claiming that he was channeling his “faith” through writing a “book” with AI… this… this was a department head… I am reading this with a horrified fascination I can’t quite express

I enjoyed writing Kit so much in Goblin Heart that he’s now getting his own book. Whoops. He’s a delight because he has no qualms about fighting dirty.
Who’s a character in your book/wip that you’ve come to enjoy more than you’d expect? What’s so fun about them? #WritingPrompt

Number of times the MC has bitten someone in this WIP so far: 2

This number is only likely to increase.

Current WIP: Alistair thought that when he met his hero, she would recognize his natural talent and give him a promotion.

She promptly sent him home.
Does your MC have a hero or somebody they admire? Do they get to meet? If so, how did that go? #WritingPrompt

Off work because everyone is snowed-in, but I know of at least one person who walked miles in the snow to open the library today.

Look, I'm just a weird sewing gremlin on the internet. But I love kindness and people. I was raised a certain way by people who survived the Great Depression and WWII. And the way the raised me is that you do not try to Neville Chamberlain your way out of Fascism. You don't negotiate with Nazis
I really need people who see this to ask themselves what good reform is going to do. Another law on the books? A constitutional amendment?

What does that matter when the people in charge of the agency are hyping them up and telling them to do violence and that they are inherently immune if they do?
We should not fund DHS without serious reform. We could return CBP to border. We could require warrants for immigration arrests. We could beef up training and require identification.

The list of possible reforms is long. What's unacceptable is the current lawless status quo.

I need to wait for my boss to pay me before I can buy ISBNs and put this book up for preorder (guess who hasn’t been paid since Dec. 12th and won’t BE paid for another three weeks!) but when I do… the anxiety will ramp up to a thousand, probably

I woke up at 4am and ended up making ads for Goblin Heart that might just be memes

Does itch allow Queer romance with open door scenes again, or is that still a no go? I’m getting contradicting info at the moment. I’m looking for more places than Amazon to sell my books, but I’m not sure if itch is worth it given its track record.

I had all these plans to write before work and during lunch, and then I burned my fingers (I am typing this with my thumbs and a pinky). Just realized that I need to somehow shave before work if I don’t want to out myself to 30+ people who might not be all that uh… positive about it.

If I come out to someone and they look pained and say, “I’m so sorry,” or start talking sadly about the state of politics, they owe me $100 on the spot. I know things are scary, but I like being Queer! No one has to act like Sarah MacLachlan is singing mournfully in the background!

WIP in editing process: So many blacksmithing videos for just a few lines of narration.
New WIP: Enough about poison that I’m glad to rely on physical books for this research instead of internet search engines
What have you done for research for your latest book/wip? #WritingPrompt

I’ve been looking for a second job for a while, and every now and then I get an email from a job site that’s like, “extremely stressful job, longest hours on earth, needs at least a PHD, $10 an hour”

When I was a kid, I was told that I couldn’t have an opinion on an author unless I’d read everything they’d ever written (I’d just given a scathing book report on A Horse and His Boy). So I read the complete works of several authors. Now I just have all that knowledge rattling around in my head.

- comb through Goblin Heart one more time before I leave it in my editor’s hands
- write a side story with the characters from book two so I can pin their voices down
