personally speaking, most of the time I have reticence at putting just a demo forward for awards. it’s wild that people are out there kneecapping their dev’s chances for visibility.

Feel basically the same.Great fun learning Lumines for the first time and the stages that hit *really* hit. But almost half the songs feel like the interstitial music they play on Love Island or something. Heartbreakingly lame tracks.

So I guess the embargo is up on Lumines Arise. It's pretty neat—as someone who isn't used to Lumines' ruleset, it's unbelievably challenging.

A personal hurdle, however, was that moreso than Tetris Effect, I thought that so much of the soundtrack was absolute horseshit lol

Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.

Few caveats: they add taxes on top of the price, and the trade is a little disappointing (but understandable):
up to 3 games you have already per bundle can be exchanged for points that let you get other games, but what you get is 1/3 of the displayed price.
Also keys expire after like 4 months.

This is a very promising bundle site, especially if they keep going the small creators/curators way to find games. Opening with imsims including Peripetia or Ctrl Alt Ego is definitely a very cool choice, even if sadly not the most appealing.

once IGF ends I like to make various charts around voting b/c I find it interesting

p sure I'm not allowed to post them but I will say it's p cool to me that IGF had 800 games submitted this year and of all those games, slightly more than 50% of them received at least one vote in an award category

sidenote that if I had played Öoo (store.steampowered.com/app/2721890/...) before I wrote my IGF thread it absolutely would have been on it. genuinely one of the best platformers I've played. 3 hours of all killer no filler and does more with two buttons than most games do with a full controller

J'avais un deck UAP qui nous a occupé pendant probablement des centaines d'heures sur un paquet d'étés.
Je sais pas de quand il datait vu que héron a été racheté en 94. D'ailleurs j'ai vu que la dernière usine de cartes en France qui était juste à côté d'ici a fermé il y a deux ans 😔
