It's not that they don't have a sense of humanity. It's that they don't see you as a human being.

Commodified fantasy takes no risks: it invents nothing, but imitates and trivializes. It proceeds by depriving the old stories of their intellectual and ethical complexity, turning their truth-telling to sentimental platitude.

Once you understand that you're dealing with murderous liars, you stop entertaining what they say as possibly credible and legitimate. The fight against them is about stopping them from terrorizing and killing by any means, not winning debates about your reality versus theirs.

Only what is mortal bears life. Only in death is there rebirth. The Balance is not a stillness. it is a movement--an eternal becoming.

This is all America is and has ever been and will ever be.
Trump threatens all - talks about Switzerland begging him not to increase tariffs and rubbing him a wrong way since the “woman on the phone was so aggressive” and he raised tariffs to 39% and realized the “US is keeping all afloat”.

Chuckling at the people in the U.S. who consistently shit on people who live in "red" states... Well according to others in the world, the entire US is now a "red" state. Not so easy to overthrow authoritarians, is it?
Important perspective from Greenland.

Should we just shortcut the next few years of slow awaking consciousness and jump right to “Abolish America”? Save everyone some time?

Nobody asking for money in the street is doing well. The story they tell you may be a lie but nobody who’s doing well stops strangers on the street to ask for 25¢ as a scam.

You don't get perfect by avoiding imperfect. You get perfect by being imperfect 100,000 times. Then on the 100,001 try you get it right.

And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. You need distance, interval. The way to see how beautiful the earth is, is to see it as the moon. The way to see how beautiful life is, is from the vantage point of death.

That's because they are on the same side, the one of imperial America. But it does give "you're in the sandbox I'm at the gun store".
It’s wild that Democrats are still negotiating their little appropriations bills as though everything is normal and Republicans won’t vote unilaterally to break the deals when Trump asks.

If he wants to declare martial law, he will. It won't be based on reality. I don't know why some people continue to say: "be peaceful or he'll invoke martial law." Are you all living in this country in 2026???? Haven't you seen them make things up out of whole cloth???? Are you 10 years old?

These fucking politicians need to STOP CONSTANTLY admonishing protestors to be "peaceful" while they are being brutalized regularly by the gatekeepers of the state. You should be up there telling ICE and Border Patrol to be fucking peaceful.

Venezuela’s literacy rate is 97.1%.

The US literacy rate is 80% if you include adults who read at an elementary school level.

If you only include adults who read at a 12th-grade level the US literacy rate is below 50%.

You simply do not have the range to be talking about “third world countries.”

People also blame food poisoning on Asian or South American food when actually that stuff is so much healthier! Americans don't realize that it's THEIR shitty food, not ours.
it's funny when watching US movies or tv shows i used to be like "man, they sure do use food poisoning as a plot device *a lot* in america..."

then i learned their food poisoning statistics and it blew my mind. that's just how they live!

people DIE of food poisoning regularly in the US.

it's MAD.
Your fact of the day:

The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one in six American citizens suffers a food-borne illness annually. In the UK, the figure is one in 132.
