25 years ago it felt like Silicon Valley was full of idealists trying to make the world better. Now we know these people lack empathy, the ability to make human connection, the humility to understand how their products can bring harm, and the integrity to mitigate that harm when it costs profits.
I don’t think I’d be so wary of AI if all the tech bros responsible for introducing it to the masses weren’t sociopaths.

AI’s only general purpose use is to control labor. Thank you.
Their plan is to use AI to detect forbidden words and content for any federally funded research project. I expect this to be challenged in court in due time, but in the meantime, I need to comply to keep funding my students

Don't let shame or overwhelm stop you from taking a few basic steps to protect yourself and your community.

Maybe you've used your cats name for your password on everything for years. All your shit is on social media. You get stressed out about tech stuff.

It's all good. You're not alone. 🧵

Gentle reminder folks: 💉👀

Get ALL needed vaccines before Jan 20!
Especially cranky Miss Shingles considering the added stress we’re under. 😩

Let’s face it, RFK Jr is likely to only recommend and approve some sort of new RCV (road carcass vaccine).

Handy dandy guide:

Imma need some of you to think about thriving out of spite. I had big plans for 2025 and I’m definitely not gonna pre-derail them for likes of Elin and Tromp. I’m getting more involved. Loving harder. Writing hornier. Having more fun. I’m gonna be so kind to my neighbors, bitch.

have said this elsewhere but offering the thought here in case it’s useful to anyone:

when I’m especially scared, it helps me to remind myself that probably all of my women ancestors had harder lives than I’ve had. & their strength is in me, is part of the fabric of who I am & what I can perhaps do

The idea that you *must* coexist with and listen to people who are cruel, unjust, and just plain unpleasant to be around is the logic of abusers, by the way
