The ruling class is dumb and we let them take everything we make and live lives of disgusting opulence and cruelty

We need socialism immediately
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

I want every journalist and pundit ready to hold Vance & Johnson’s feet to the fire when the files are released.

You didn’t know? How?

You didn’t question? You had everything at your disposal to find the truth.

We can’t have leaders that are poor a judges of character to this degree. We cannot.

"Like most, I eat pizza every single day. I’m too busy to sit down and eat it as a meal, so into my pockets it goes, even if that means my car keys are always covered in tomato sauce, my wallet is filled with pepperoni, and my iPhone’s charging port is clogged with mozzarella."
Reviews of New Food: Little Caesars’ Crazy Puffs
As we all know, the worst part about eating pizza is how the cheese gets stuck to the insides of your pockets. I can’t tell you how many good pairs...

I think a thing we'll learn tonight is that people fucking hate what is going on and they will straight ticket vote against anyone involved in starving people while pillaging the country and kidnapping their neighbors. I don't think it matters at all who that person is.

Learning in school is not enough. You must continue to teach yourself throughout your life. Study history, read myths, memorize poems, get acquainted with the greatest philosophers & writers. In an age when tech is cooking many brains, we need an army of autodidacts.

Learning is a human endeavor & it happens best between engaged humans. This will fail for the same reason scripts & video lessons failed. Can you learn from a video or a person reading a script? Sure. But without the observation & back-and-forth, there’s a missing element. The humanity is gone.
A.I. is changing classrooms. We spoke to the co-founder of Alpha Schools about how her private K-12 schools are using A.I. to generate personalized lesson plans and enabling teachers to spend their time motivating rather than teaching students. nyti.ms/4p9HRzr

i think the correct way to think about the lonely boy question is not "how do we reach out to incels?" but "how do we make sure that a teenage boy looking for romantic advice isn't flooded with right-wing propaganda?"

Reading about Ireland in the 20th century, and how radically it changed, makes me think....we really have no idea what the future will be like. All empires fall--political, religious, technological. The only thing we can count on is climate change. And empires will be as vulnerable to it as we are.

Canadians are vacationing at home. International tourists are choosing Canada.

It's not just the insults, or the tariffs. It's too dangerous to go to America. ICE's powers are without limit. We can't go to a country that treats international visitors as new enemies instead of historic allies.

They’re assaulting the mothers and fathers of US soldiers.

Roving gangs of masked men grab human beings off the street.

They send them without due process to prisons in countries they’re not even from where they are then sold into slavery.

Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

I just like to post these data from time to time to puncture the mythological aura of mid 20th c protests. They were less popular than pretty much any 21st c mass action & people criticizing them used the same lines. Protest is about people coming together, shaping narratives, & building power.
