AND: we should want not just accountability, but growth. i saw cierra lean into empathy/intentionality/care while in the villa & i hope she can apply that to this & be better. i believe she can.

i’m thinking of all the system failures that already had us tense, holding on, on edge. and then the fires started. it feels like we are constantly trying to combat the next disaster, mid-survival of another. the recognition that this is our reality is utterly exhausting.
