Mainly into social science, epistemology, the old web, and the Sims 2.
I call them "bleets" and so should you.
I just nabbed myself a Henry Cow sweatshirt. I hope other Canterbury Scene nerds (all eight of them) notice me.

Question for autistic people (or, truly, anyone who might relate): I frequently see autistic people having trouble with appearing remote/unemotional, but does anyone struggle with consistently being read as *more* emotional than they're actually feeling?

No-one knows what psychiatric diagnostic criteria, classifications and categories will be in the future. They have changed considerably in my lifetime and are likely to change in the future. It is a potentially precarious enterprise to base one’s identity upon a diagnosis.

I feel like like a three-year research-focused master + working in academia (albeit not as an "academic" per se, still close enough) has absolutely destroyed my ability to read fiction (this tweet has no particular point, I am just complaining)

I badly need to talk to other fans of Pathologic and/or Disco Elysium (though I suspect the Venn diagram between the two fanbases is a circle).

I often feel a bit weird around autistic spaces, because on the one hand I am technically "late-diagnosed" as autistic specifically, but on the other I was diagnosed as dyspraxic and "neurodevelopmentally disabled" in early childhood so I can't really relate to the whole narrative of "Suddenly all-

Games like Disco Elysium and Pentiment prove my favorite genre is making a comeback
Whisper it quietly, but I've credible evidence to suggest we're currently in the middle of a point-and-click adventure game resurgence.

I follow a lot of archivists here on BlueSky from anglophone countries who seem to have a truly in-depth knowledge of their specific collections as part of their jobs. I'm wondering if it's a cultural difference or if I'm just unlucky because here in France, in an archive-adjacent line of work, I've

I am very excited to see so many people getting back into the Sims 2. It's a genuinely beautiful, multi-layered game, very different from the following installments (the Sims 4, especially, is a completely different game - and in my opinion a bad one).
We're still a thriving community, there are-
