Boosting this to main because I think this is a key point. A lot of survivors respond to their victimization by being really really shitty to other people and they are still responsible for how they hurt others. BUT ALSO knowing the root of their shiftiness can still be important.
I mean we are always responsible for our own actions even if we are victims. Victimhood merely provides *context* for why someone behaves in a certain way/a pathway to figuring out how to stop their harmful behavior.
