Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

Anyone claiming the shutdown deal is because of Israel is an immediate block. I have my issues with how this played out, which isn’t to say I think the Democrats had an easy choice. Blaming this on Israel or AIPAC is just straight up antisemitism.

I want to give the Dems who voted for the deal the benefit of the doubt for a second and assume that they did this because they genuinely saw it as a form of harm reduction that allows them to mitigate temporary suffering while fighting to mitigate future suffering. In general, this is laudable…1/x

America is just a never ending Hatfields and the McCoys drama. Family members change: North-South, Urban-Rural, Democrats-Republicans. But we are always just the Hatfields and the McCoys endlessly feuding.

Here’s the thing. I don’t even think it’s that bad that Djokovic pulled out. He is singularly focused on winning another Slam and the ATP Finals doesn’t do much to serve that interest. But it’s kind of ridiculous where we went through this “will he or won’t he” song and dance

With Djokovic's win, Felix is in the ATP Finals, and Musetti is either an alternate or in with a withdrawal.
And with Rybakina winning, we are down to one championship match left.
Good for Learner Tien getting his first ATP title.

Musetti needs to beat Djokovic to claim the last spot in the ATP Finals, but there’s at least a 50-50 chance that if Djokovic wins, he will still withdraw from the finals giving Musetti the last entry.

It’ll be hard because the caucus is wholly built on the premise of not governing, but I’ll be curious to see if Congressional R’s change their shutdown strategy of “make me” after last night.

I honestly have no idea if Mandani will be a good mayor or not, but I do know that it’s super weird and negatively polarizing how a bunch of the worst and most well connected people are having meltdowns about him very likely winning.
