Not only is it a shame there is so little international rugby on free to sit TV, it's a massive shame it's on TNT with this commentary team. Absymal, one-eyed crap.

“And now, officially, something essential is lost”

Spot-on stuff from Leander Schaerlaeckens for @theguardian.com on Uefa’s supposedly reluctant decision to allow European league games to be played abroad and how this is fully the Americanisation of football.

Uefa allowing domestic games abroad is a sad turning point, ending soccer as we’ve known it | Leander Schaerlaeckens
The change may seem small, but the profit-seeking games are clearly the first step in a mass reorientation of the club game

I can't quite put my finger on which hypocrisy is greater here, but perhaps James would have had the opportunity to ask him about it had he not been banned from attending Reform's "free speech" conference.
“We will police the streets and not the tweets and change all that damaging legislation,” says Nigel Farage on stage at Reform – just after welcoming the minister responsible for passing the Online Safety Act onto the stage with him, and into his party.

As much as I can't stand Newcastle United, Liverpool losing this would be extremely funny...

Well. That was novel. A critical tournament match and Scotland were genuinely brilliant....

For anyone travelling to Salford for #RWC2025 today. The shuttle bus is taking much longer than advertised. Road very busy. Leave early.

The only survivor of the original internet that didn’t turn into a tech oligarch billion$ business and it’s going to be blocked by a govt that thinks AI is going to save it.
What fun... Wikipedia may be blocked in the UK under a later stage of our insanely self-defeating online safety law.

There's a court case going on, but if Wikipedia lose it they're going to IP-block the UK because the only other alternative would be to put in adult ID checks.

1. No one is asking them. As it stands, it is the law.

2. So what?

This is complete junk from TNT. The #E3saxoclassic 'highlights' start with the races in bits and the major riders in their finishing positions. If you want to know how the races planned out you need to watch a chunk of the full thing, this tells you nothing .

The [bullshit] logic for deporting Mahmoud Khalil is that he causes major foreign policy problems.

Germany should issue a complaint about this.
Elon Musk shared a post to his 219 million followers that Hitler didn't murder millions of people. Will the Trump administration search his home, shut down his government contracts, arrest and deport him back to South Africa the way they're going after college students and universities?

Musk and Tesla have faced heightened criticism since the billionaire made a gesture likened to a Nazi salute during an inaugural event in January.
