Telnaes was a fantastic participant in an IDJC event on the importance of and threats to editorial cartoonists back in October. Yet another blow to trust in the Post.
This is, or should be, a big deal -- Ann Telnaes, an absolute legend, quitting WaPo due to censorship of a cartoon criticizing billionaires

Happy #Thanksgiving from POQ! Political discussions with family can always be difficult, especially around the holidays. @esydnor.bsky.social explores this in a review of Taylor N. Carlson and Jaime E. Settle’s 2022 book, What Goes Without Saying: Navigating Political Discussion in America.

So excited for this to be out in the world!
Happy to share that my first paper on state identities was accepted at State Politics and Policy Quarterly. This paper was a lot of fun to write, and it's largely descriptive and exploratory. More to come later, but here are some highlights. 1/

Ok polisky—who’s got new books in public opinion I can assign in my upper level undergrad class on the subject next semester as an excuse to read them myself?
