Obama: "The weird videos of a US president with a crown on his head flying a fighter jet & dumping poop on American citizens - that's not even worth booing about. Because all of that is a distraction from the fact that your situation, your life has not gotten better. They do it so you won't notice"

A really powerful WWII era "don't be a sucker" piece, that explains how authoritarians have to separate and destroy groups of people so they can take power. I don't usually watch anything this long (22 min) but couldn't stop watching once I started this.
Please watch and rewatch this movie, in the U.S. Archives from the @usarmy.bsky.social#DontBeASucker a reminder of how the Nazis conned their country into becoming the cause of mass murder and all the other horrors that Nazis unleash. “I feel like people are playing Russian roulette with our lives,” said US district court Judge Esther Salas, whose 20-year-old son was shot and killed at her home in 2020 by a self-described “anti-feminist” lawyer. “This is not hyperbole. I am begging our leaders to realize that lives are at stake.”
