C'est impressionnant le décalage entre l'importance de ce sujet et sa couverture politique/médiatique.
Pas grand monde en parle alors que ce sont des politiques efficaces déployées à grande échelle !

I just learned that Jean Rossier passed away. Jean was our Biology professor at @espciparispsl.bsky.social (98-01), the head of the Neurobiology lab, and my PhD director (02-06). If I (and many others) went from engineering school to a research career in biology, it is in large part thanks to him!

Dans ce débat sur La nuit étoilée de Van Gogh, on oublie de dire que ce peintre, passionné d’astronomie, lisait régulièrement la revue L’Astronomie, éditée par son ami Camille Flammarion, revue dans laquelle figuraient des représentations de "nébuleuses cosmiques". Son inspiration vient de là !
Dans La Nuit étoilée, Van Gogh avait-il représenté fidèlement la "turbulence" ? C’est ce qu’avançait une étude médiatisée dont plusieurs travaux remettent aujourd’hui en cause les résultats. Au-delà d’un simple désaccord méthodologique, cette histoire révèle une entrave au débat scientifique.
