U.S. is turning towards protectionism and economic nationalism because of the economic rise of China. They only wanted free trade because it was more to their benefit. The collapse of empire is put on working people SMDH!

Like it or not, but abolishing ICE is a radical idea. Because ICE has become an institution that both parties fund. If you‘re able to abolish ICE, then you‘re able to abolish other institutions … liberals can’t have you thinking that. Liberals normalize oppressive systems, not radically change them.

Before you criticize Carribbeans as stupid or why are they letting the US get away with this. Understand a lot of these countries do not teach history in public school. When the U.S. invaded Haiti they got rid of the education system. Also, they need visas to get meds, see families, etc.

Btw ICE are the slave patrols because this admins plan for Latin America and the Caribbean is to bring manufacturing to the region, not China. They don’t just want to steal resources, but they need a slave labor force. He literally says it in the “America First” foreign policy agenda.

I keep seeing people asking why the police aren't arresting ICE or protecting people from ICE and I desperately need you to understand that the police aren't protecting you from ICE because protecting YOU is not and never has been their function and that's why we need to defund them.

Liberals and conservatives currently control the Democratic Party. I actually think if more socialists where in positions of power that would shift the Overton window. The “ far left” have no power right now. But, I’m seeing a lot of DSA backed candidates running for office.
the only reason "abolish ICE" is seen as radical is that no one will say it but the far left. if every normie Democrat started saying it tomorrow it would move the overton window so far you'd have to squint to find it. my kingdom for leaders who understand they can shape public opinion.
