What legal advice, if any, is he getting? Or is he just ignoring it? To proceed is basically a non-starter, as plenty of legal experts have pointed out, and now he's upped his demands. $5B is far more than the BBC's annual budget, so where on earth does he expect them to magic that up from?

💯 The edit was at best a stupid mistake and worst a rogue editor/producer being a twit. Apologise to Trump, sure. But he can stick his $1B lawsuit where the sun don't shine. He hasn't been hurt, doesn't need the money, and it'd be unethical to give public money to a foreign leader to boost his ego.

The #BBC is a pretty hefty organisation, and so mistakes are inevitable. However, the good they do far outweighs the scandals. For all its faults, its journalists work hard, and it produces high quality entertainment that brings the nation together.

The narrative seems to be that - bar however many violations on one side or the other - the ceasefire is holding for now. Unless things break down spectacularly before next month, my gut is telling me that 🇮🇱/KAN will probably be allowed to stay in #Eurovision. The
