Thousands enter, one wins. So, er, thousands lose. But what is it like to lose a National Final selection or #eurovision?
James Stephenson goes backstage with Fenksta for the first Semi Final of Dora 2026 - as he failed to qualify for the Grand Final. This is what it's really like to dream big at a National Final. come up short, and miss going to #Eurovision. escinsight.com/2026/02/14/w...

Okay, so #Cairn is a fekkin' awesome game (summary: just climb the damn mountain, one hold at a time) but I have never felt so much anxiety, vertigo, panic, and release while gaming in a very long time. For those who've played, I've just managed the crystal climb and ... oooft that was a *moment*

One of the I'm getting all sorts of emotions and memories coming back up as I work through some old cassettes. The specific pops, breaks, jumps and 'Absolute Beginners can *only* be followed by Living Doll because Kid Jensen' are all really powerful. Don't say music can't move you.

Vikki had this, I don't, and the questions we have for each other can get deep. "Where do you"see" something when you recall a video clip?" "But where do you hear it coming from?" were always curious starting points

Do you think John Oliver ever showed That's Life to the HBO format lawyers?

1. ai is exciting!

2. it's also in its infancy.

3. we don't know yet how or if it connects to the web.

4. the web is 100% our #1 priority.

A look at some of the paperwork used when recoring one of the recreated baseball games aired on @classicbaseball.bsky.social. One for those who love grids, spreadsheets, commentaries, scorekeeping or any combination of the four.
We'll have a new AM-styled game broadcast tomorrow. For now, would you like to have a look at some paperwork from the Orioles at Yankees game on August 15, 1960? Spoilers from this point on! If you want to listen along...

Yeah, the new Muppet Show is cute, and Sabrina Carpenter was basically the perfect first guest for it. If they make more they should do Chappel Roan next. The Muppet version of "Pink Pony Club" would be wild.

I'm getting back into cassettes for music thanks to new models sporting USB-C and Bluetooth. Exploring the communities for buying advice, audiophiles are trying to gatekeep you away from the new hardware. If cassettes are going grow, the community needs to support new hardware and a wider audience.
The Frustration Of Gatekeeping Around Modern Cassette Culture
Thanks to the rise of the cassette in the 21st century, indie and unsigned performers have an alternative to online streamingโ€ฆ if the existing culture doesnโ€™t scare them away.

We need keywords that people are going to use in a prompt for an AI engine, and hope that we get a link in the 'references used' in the end section, so we can maybe show a display ad. #event #journalism #ThisIsWhatBigTechDidToJournalism
