Last year IMLS invested $180 million in libraries nationwide under its Grants to State program, with Connecticut receiving a little over $2 million of that. We were notified yesterday that these grants have been terminated.

I just did a deep dive into our book ordering to calculate the average number of days it takes for a book to hit our shelves from date of publication. 18 days! That is not ideal and it's something we heard during our strategic planning process.
