Okay, in an effort to be more present here, here's a bit about me:

I was involved in board game media for years (The WDYPTW podcast, The Cubist, The Cardboard Hoard, Patrick and Eric in the Morning, Punchboard Media), but have retired from all that.

As I'm up after midnight, I did tomorrow's Wordle already. The solution is my wife's starting word. I'm really excited to watch her get it in one tomorrow.

There's no excuse not to download this fun roll-and-write game, seeing as it's now free!
Not only is Roll Estate PNP Arcade’s game of the week…it is now FREE, permanently!

I’m extremely proud of how my love letter to mass market games has done over the last five years, and I’m thrilled to now make it available at no cost for everyone.

Go get it now!

Since I was so harsh on the first scenario, I feel compelled to note that I played the second scenario from this box, Hollywood Confidential, and thought it was great. It definitely redeemed this set. Now I'm hoping the third set is also solid.
I just played Restart from Unlock Extraordinary Adventures with my daughter, and it was the worst Unlock we've played in years. It was so unintuitive, and it was listed as 1/3 difficulty. If the box didn't already have two more scenarios in it, I might never play an Unlock again after that one.

This is a great way to get a ton of John Scalzi's library in one shot, for under $20, while supporting a charity. Win-win-win.
We ran this Humble Bundle last year and it was so popular it's been brought back for a three-day encore. If you want to grab a bunch of my novels AND support a nifty charity (First Book, which gives books to kids), come get it!

I watched the first two episodes of DC's newest animated show, Creature Commandos, and it was quite a ride. The animation is gorgeous, the writing is engaging (and not at all child friendly — they show necrophilia, for fuck's sake), and the soundtrack is by Gogol Bordello. Highly recommend.

There has been exactly one game I have been asking Restoration to do literally since the inception of the company — and that game is Battle Masters. The fact that not only are they now doing it, but in the Godzilla/Kong Monsterverse, is mind-blowing.
We’re excited to announce the next big thing in gaming. No. BIGGER!

Battle Monsters, our brand new restoration of the 1992 classic Battle Masters. Officially licensed with the Titans of the Monsterverse: Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Kong, and Mechagodzilla!

"The Tainted Cup" by Robert Jackson Bennett was one of my favorite reads of the year. If anyone else here is interested in unique fantasy worlds with a pair of protagonists that give off serious Holmes and Watson vibes, I highly recommend it, especially for $2.99.

I've had this for a really long while, and haven't yet played it. It's because I played the original Exit the Abandoned Cabin with my dad, and he's since passed. But it's been years now, and it's a rainy Saturday and I've nothing else to do, so I think it's time.

Our rescue dog Duncan had a routine x-ray done yesterday ahead of being neutered, and it showed that he has a bullet lodged in his back. I can't imagine how this dog, who has the sweetest disposition, could have been shot, but here we are.
