"Une histoire d'ours" de @eowynivey.bsky.social chez Gallmeister

J'ai adoré ce livre. Eowyn Ivey est une autrice et une conteuse hors pair, qui sait nous prendre par la main et nous emmener avec elle dans un monde où la nature règne et où le réel est toujours un peu teinté de fantastique.

I just finished @eowynivey.bsky.social 's new novel Black Woods, Blue Sky. Such a great story with so much to say about humans, human loneliness, and the more-than -human world. I've read a handful of truly exceptional novels this year. This is one of them.

I am reminded of all I have imagined, let go, lost.

Childhood & memories of my mother doing the best she could-badly- goodness & badness in the same father, wild places & plant names I have known.

& my dog who spins for his dinner.

Bravo for another masterpiece @eowynivey.bsky.social

honestly don't know how any writer who's been copy-edited still has an ego. one second you'll be like "actually that 'mistake' is foreshadowing for time loop #3" and the next you'll realize the manuscript you sent to all your peers and friends contains the phrase "him horses"

Out for a ski with Sam on a beautiful March day. As much as I’m looking forward to my upcoming book travel, I know I’ll be homesick so I tried to soak it all in.

Some nights when I'm reading the news about what's happened during the day, I get very tense and then I go outside and look up and realize that many wonderful things happen on a much grander scale and I can breathe again.
