At some point the numbers'll leak out but it is genuinely astonishing considering most of the people I see are rocking somewhere between 25-150 CAD of costumes. Nearly every match. Even if you wanted to whale crazy hard on the game you're only going to do so for the 2 characters you play.
All my opponents clearly having spent over $100 just to hear that thats not enough is so dire

1) 80 people have been terminated and that is ~half the team, so 2XKO was made with ~160 staff. That's not very big at all. That's a tiny fucking team for a major release. Let me put this into perspective, 「𝐒𝐍𝐊」 is over ~500 people.

A really excellent, detailed review, that's more explicit about just how much stuff *hasn't* made it into this remake - including the Murder at Cafe Alps sidestory, as well as the sidestory where Kiryu emphasises with a transwoman's struggles

I clown on Riot a lot but I do feel bad for the 2XKO staff. Unfortunately, I knew this was going to happen sooner than later because I have been blindsided by Riot before. If a project of theirs doesn’t make a billion dollars in a year, they leave it to sunset and then leave it in maintenance mode.

Technically poor and hurried, devoid of the original's charm, and full of filler content and baffling changes, Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a 20/100, a 2/10, a one-star game.
It's a seismic miss that left me questioning my love for the series.
