GB: Who... Who are you? Arceus: I am which humans call Arceus. The creator of the Pokemon universe, and the world on which humans and Pokemon thrive. GB: A... Pokemon? What is that? Arceus: Allow me to explain... Pokemon are various creatures that not only inhabit the very world I have created, but also strong creatures that can utilize attacks for their own survival, fighting off other Pokemon. Or in more modern times, battling with each other with the help of human partners, some called Trainers. There are also more powerful Pokemon dubbed Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, who have bigger roles to play in the world, from shaping the world itself to maintaining balance of the ecosystem and harmony among humans and Pokemon. There are many different ways to describe Pokemon, so I hope I made myself clear. GB: Wow... And you're the equivalent to... god? Arceus: Yes, I have been worshipped and revered by many humans as such, even as a deity.
