Today I saw these, they're Asian lady beetle larvae in later instars!🐞 I watched them eat some aphids for a bit before going on my way. I haven't stopped to notice them in previous years, and I'm glad I did this year.

Remember to observe your surroundings with an open mind and kindness.

I got to see this beautiful Eastern tent caterpillar yesterday! They build large web structures in which they pupate. Their web structures offer safety, and don't harm the host tree. Native to the US and often confused with the forest tent caterpillar or the spongy moth in their larval stages.

From salamanders and salmon to bears and mountain lions, David Herasimtschuk's images illustrate not only the beauty of the forests and their creatures but the symbiotic relationships that are vital to the forests’ health and the planet’s welfare.

Releasing helium balloons is pretty much just fancy & expensive littering (except you can get fined for littering). They all end up somewhere, & are sometimes eaten by wildlife.

Today, my mom found this little creature outside. She brought it inside to keep it warm, and shared this picture before putting it back under some leaf litter (good call). All this just as I'm learning the difference between various larval stages!

Remember that we all have a home and an ideal life.

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

Today a woman on the bus complimented my ring, and asked me if it was an engagement ring. I told her, "it would be. It won't be legal much longer" and we didn't say anything else.

It hits me sometimes, and I remember how much of the country hates people like me.

Just as many are by my side.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Many people are afraid of bugs, or generally dislike them. I would like to share with you examples of some beautiful and underrated insects. Every creature plays an important role in its ecosystem.

Remember to think critically. Why do you feel the way you do? Why might some feel differently?

Here's a picture of an earwig I found recently. She's nocturnal, and sleeping in her nest with her eggs. She will protect and nurture them until they're big enough to fend for themselves. These guys are one of my favorite insects :)

Remember to have compassion and patience for those around you.
