This morning’s commute was anything but ordinary, Penelope and I joined the neighborhood bike bus to school! 🚲 Big thank you to our neighbor Alan for leading the way and keeping the wheels (and the good vibes) rolling.

Today, I stood alongside the Mayor and my fellow elected colleagues to send a loud and clear message to the Trump administration: we demand transparency.

I’m over it, public transportation is NOT a privilege, it’s a necessity for thousands of people across our city. It’s how people get to work, school, medical appointments, and grocery stores. We’ve become far too cardependent, and the cost of that dependence falls hardest on working-class residents.

Just hopped on the train back home after voting through over $8 million in budget amendments— ensuring the voices of Bostonians are heard! Investments for housing vouchers, ESOL programs, down payment assistance, veterans, etc! Details to come 🖊️

General Manager Eng’s leadership at the MBTA has been exceptional, driving real progress. Improving public transit is vital to our Commonwealth’s future—supporting equity, the economy, and a cleaner environment. Zone 1A fares for D5 rail—or free 32? 😉 @mbta.com www.bostonglobe.com/2025/05/28/m...

I was proud to sign on to that letter. We need to be doing more for our most vulnerable.
Thank you Councilor @enriquepepen.bsky.social for signing this letter! I am a D5 constituent who has been EXTREMELY disappointed in our governor's response to the trauma inflicted on our neighbors and community members by ICE.

Tonight, I joined @walkmass.bsky.social the @bikeboston.bsky.social, to honor the one-year anniversary of 4yr -old Gracie’s passing. Just days ago, I attended the funeral of 5-year-old Lens Arthur Joseph. These are reminders that too often, we are mourning lives lost to preventable traffic violence.

Good news about Squares + Streets zoning getting approved in Roslindale Square. Looking forward to planning and zoning reform in #Allston #Brighton. Too many of our neighbors are having to leave due to housing costs. More housing, more options.
I was proud to testify in support of the Squares and Streets proposal in Rozzie. Upgrading our obsolete and overly restrictive zoning is long overdue. The next generation of Roslindale residents deserves a community built for the future. #housing #zoning

Tonight, I’ll be attending Gracie’s Ride Memorial to honor her life and stand with all those demanding safer streets. We can’t back down—every life lost is a call to action for real, lasting change in our transportation infrastructure. @walkmass.bsky.social
