Our own government prepped us to defend against fascism, which according to their description of it nearly 80 years ago, has finally taken over the U.S.

I'm glad we held it off for so long but I really prefer democracy.

In reponse to my post about not letting them get away with their lies, I had overwhelming support. I only had to block 3 post parroting the administration.

Some noted it's nothing new which is true but we have to draw the line somewhere.

They are continuing to lie about Renee Good today, doubling down in fact. These people are either paid to lie or politically motivated.

Also ICE is still terrorizing Minneapolis.

Our own government is attacking us with lies and thugs.

We can't let them get away with it.

Unbelievable. We can't let them get away with this stuff. It needs to be the end of Trump. Epstein files could do it also. Sheer desperation to hang onto power and money.
The New York Post reaches a new low.

In which HCR clearly describes exactly why Trump is determined to lie about Renee Good (i.e. she's in the same demographic as his supporters) and overall reveals how desperate Trump is to avoid losing power.

Amanda Gorman wrote this poem for Renee Good and that’s it for me tonight.

Some good news today!
Mamdani: Today is an incredible win for working people. We’re talking about a $1.2 billion commitment to make universal childcare a reality.

What today’s commitment shows is that working families will no longer have to choose between the city they love and the family they want to raise.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

Please don't let them get away with the lies about the shooting in Minneapolis. They will just do it again if they do.

Very true, they are not standing on the founding documents of America.
My thoughts, for what it’s worth. The federal government of the United States is illegitimate. The executive, legislative and judicial authorities have abandoned the constitution, which means that there is no foundation to their authority, which means that we should not regard them as having any.

I really don't think we can wait for the midterms. That's not a strategy.

We are facing the fundamental test again, as Lincoln articulated at Gettysburg. Will government by the people, for the people, continue to exist.

Ironically, even the rich do better when everyone does better.

Trump supporters endorse whatever he does because they like him. They would never support what Trump does if anyone else did it.

Spot on. We have sold out our founding principles and our citizens to the highest bidder. Not the way it is supposed to work in America.
This new war in Venezuela is deeply corrupt.

I will never vote to send someone’s son or daughter to war to make oil executives richer.

This hurts it's so on target

Chris Cornell's vocals on this, including the line about trading lives for oil as if the whole world were blind. GOP has replaced our principles with oligarchy. Very sad day.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

And Thiel and Musk who also want the rare earth minerals that Venezuela possesses.
Musk needs cobalt for batteries for his cars and Thiel needs cobalt for his Palantir drone weaponry. Musk and Thiel were also found in the Epstein Files alongside Trump.

This is the saddest day of my life. With the exception of the Kennedy and King assassinations. When it became clear the Republican Party sold our principles to the Putin model of oligarchy.
