I checked several times and never saw anything, sadly. It felt too cold to hang out, which feels silly compared to the splendor of the natural world.

Meetup's UX update also includes bonus pay screens, and this one doesn't even have a working ❌ to click! Amazing work.

In a few years I can't wait to be forced to find another platform after this one is hollowed out.

I'm so disappointed in 8 Democrats' betrayal for nearly nothing in return. I am surprised it wasn't one of mine. Which makes me wonder what those other 8 fear so much that my senators in a deep red state did not.

Could just be a skill issue. #gapol

Waiting for a very delayed flight to Atlanta & the pilot (Scott!) has become everyone's best friend, hanging out amongst the people. He's let us know that Atlanta is only allowing 30 flights an hour, when it's usually 120.

Obviously frustrating but also enjoying how much Scott is relishing this.

With nearly all the votes in, the 👀👀👀 60-40 margin is holding for Democrats in Georgia thanks to things like a notable flip of suburban Fayette County and Saddam-like numbers in ATL core counties of Fulton/DeKalb/Clayton.

The orchid and the plum are among "The Four Noble Ones" in traditional Chinese art, the former symbolizing an indifference to fame and fortune, the latter an indomitable, incorruptible spirit.

@midimyers.com Belated shoutout for rewatching Venture Brothers and talking about its evolution on #TripleClick! I watched the seasons available on Netflix this year, and I was similarly struck by its deep character work and clear changing of perspective from the creators as years went on.

I'll never forget @adamconover.net joining these folks and revealing that the data we see on the news is from courageous folks swooping right through deadly storms over and over.
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · 12d
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Hurricane Hunters have spent the past week diving into the eye of Melissa — a storm of historic ferocity — to gather life-saving data.

And, with the government shut down, they have done it all without pay.

The arguments for this really show how far some lines of thinking have gone. Apparently whatever truly disgusting "costume" you can imagine is fair game.

It's a priority of ultimate free expression, with no consequence or pushback allowed, without a second of consideration for others. It's sad.
Meanwhile, this is what Elon’s algorithm is pushing to me.

Both games engage in weighty topics like this with care, intimacy, and profoundly moving writing that made at least this player feel closer to the experiences of those in much more challenging circumstances than I.
Still thinking about this. I know its not a big award in the industry generally but given what I set put to do with the Citizen Sleeper series it feels special to have it recognised in this way 🙏
Citizen Sleeper 2 received the "Code the Rights - Best Game 2025" award from Amnesty International earlier today, at the CEEGA Awards in Poznań 🥳

It recognizes "games that address human rights topics in an innovative way" and it's a really cool initiative:
