People in the UK are total shits. Please fuck us into the dustbin of bad ideas.
This is the Moygashel 12th July bonfire. Many bonfires receive huge funding and backing from loyalist paramilitary groups. The PSNI facilitate this and councils clean up after them.

This paramilitary backed hate is being justified live on BBC Radio Ulster. The state is rotten to the core.

Is it mischief or just poor journalism when papers like The Guardian regurgitate the ideological bottom lines of the state?
It's inappropriate for the BBC to call Ephraim Mirvis 'The UK's Chief Rabbi' when he is absolutely not: he only represents an Orthodox sect. This misrepresents a right-wing, pro-Israel political project as uniformly accepted by UK Jews, while it is opposed by a large portion of UK's Progressive Jews
Personally, I'd reserve overheated rhetoric like "national shame" for our (and the international community's) failure to take action to halt systematic war crimes and the deliberate murder of starving civilians, not what some rappers said at a music festival.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

The Syrian revolution started off as a bottom-up, working class uprising from the peripheries organised through local coordination committees. They set up local councils throughout the liberated areas that coordinated to provide services in the absence of a state. 🧵

The media is reporting this story as 'scary jihadis' rather than as the liberation it is. I've written this text giving background on Assad's detention and torture state, to show what's at stake for Syrians. Please read, and share.
Syrian cities are being liberated from the Assad regime's rule, and so too are inmates from regime prisons. Hundreds of thousands have passed through these prisons, and tens of thousands have been killed within their walls. Here the IPM explains the background.
