I follow these parrots that are a bonded pair. One is very extroverted and one doesn’t vocalize. The owner posted a video of quiet parrot saying a word over and over again, and said it was the only thing she ever says. It was the name of her previous mate who died. I think about her all the time.

Just read a study that young women in the United States are way more likely to be murdered or die by suicide than previous generations were at the same age.
I’ve felt for a while that violence towards women is getting worse, not better. Gut-wrenching read.
