Why do we bash the sons for the killing of the totemic father but we never question if the totemic father had bad vibes?
definetly not my favorite song with a long name but i also gotta give credit to "Chapter for Not Being Hung Upside Down on a Stake in the Underworld and Made to Eat Feces by the Four Apes"

i would be remiss if i didn't mention "Creating Something Out Of Nothing Only To Destroy It"
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

i've been watching a bunch of PTA lately and it's ridiculous how good of an actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was. I have mixed feelings about the Master but it's basically a perfect performance from PSH

Boogie Nights is really the most perfect cast i've ever seen in a movie before. It's really beyond comprehension how good it is

you definitely should, i haven't read Deleuze's Cinema books but I'm guessing that it would be very much up your alley here

The Visio Pauli is funny because while it obviously draws on earlier apocalyptic traditions, it seems strangely innocent. Many apocalypses will throw horrific threats or transmogrify the person who is ascending but in this one, everyone from the bible high fives paul and tells him that he's awesome

Ray Wise: What?

David AR White: Finish it, unless you’re trying to rewrite We Are Charlie Kirk too.

it's a little ridiculous to me that people don't like Jarboe's Swans contributions, i think she's like the best part of so many of the songs that she's on

In the first book of the Masnavi, Rumi tells a story about a malevolent Jewish king with a Jewish vizier and the moments of anachronism resulting from that are pretty funny
