Watching Hank Green gently turn from funny internet science guy to fearless comedian is quite wonderful. Also, I can now never not think about the chewy decimal system every time I visit a supermarket.
Heading to the grocery store, anyone want any mood-altering drinkables?

This obituary for the award-winning costume designer of Peaky Blinders, Stephanie Collie, is a wonderful tribute to her research process and skill. It’s easy to criticise costumes in TV historical dramas, but historical inaccuracies are rarely errors, they’re often storytelling choices

A very interesting chat with the CBT provider for the ME/CFS care team. She'd studied under a US trauma & somatic educated Dr and has piloted trauma therapy work with chronic illness patients. She even had to close the pilot after being overwhelmed with referrals.

For the fellow arts funding nerds out there, some interesting data from across the pond. Spoiler: Art is good for young people, who knew?

It will surprise no one to know that some of the best experiences of interactive theatre (inc Youth theatre) I have ever had have come from Coney. Considering the world ahead I can't quite square the logic of their loss. The talent held inside will endure I'm sure but it still smarts.

I highly recommend the book 'Your brain on Art' for anyone trying to understand why we do what we do. It made me realise the Department of Health ought to merge with the Department of Culture. It's baffling to see this news from Australia considering the profound evidence supporting art therapies.
Awoke to the news this morning that creative arts therapies - including music therapy which my 7yo home educated Autistic/ADHD son has benefitted SO profoundly from - are set to be cut from the NDIS.

I've been chatting with a fellow neurospicey designer about using a future gig to see if we can make it the most ND inclusive/accessible experience, especially in the admin/work out of the rehearsal room. Has anyone come across any tips/links on this? We're so used to masking this feels revolutionary

So tempting to turn this into the freelancer version of the lord's prayer.
As someone who employed freelancers (and didn't always get it right) and am now a freelancer, here are some things I think make for good practice when paying freelancers.

To all arriving, something I have been loving here is the commitment loads of folks make to doing alt text. There is an option you can switch on to remind you to add text to images you add to posts. It's kind of a house rule here. #Access matters ❤️

Theatre, is it just me or does it feel like we all need to go on an away day, do a brisk 5k across a moor and then work out what we want this platform to be via a tea infused chat against some whiteboards?
