16 has been playing football since he was 6. Today, he scored his first ever goal outside of training. Everyone was so shocked we all went quiet for a split second.

I have fallen down a rabbit hole of clips of Spurs fans watching the match on tv and Son at the end of the match and I love them both for very different reasons.

I only realised a few years ago that “interpol” was short for International Police. I was stupid enough to admit this in front of my teenager and now every time it’s mentioned in a film he says “mum did you know that means International Police?” Never show weakness to teens. They are brutal.
Folks, get in here. We’re admitting all the dumb wrong shit we believed until we were way too old.
Fun fact: until I was appreciably into my 20s, I thought they were called oncologists because they were always “on call.”

Someone proposed on the pitch at halftime at Norwich City today. I am not a fan of public proposals but 15 who was there just told me that the crowd started chanting “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING!” and now I am very much in the ‘more of this sort of thing please’ camp.

I was having a super productive Saturday until I sliced the side of my finger off and now have a 2/3 hour wait at the walk in centre.

I have made these biscuits every year for 15 years and numerous times a year once more kids arrived. I suspect I will still be making number biscuits for my kids when they are 30.

I could not get my curtain bangs to do their thing today so I went with a swooshy whiff thing which I was very unsure about. I said to 10 that I look like a prime minister’s wife. She said “NO you don’t. You look…..rich!” Which has made me smile all day.

I love him.
For the 1st time since the kids were born we had Christmas Day with no visitors. Just the 5 of us and it was bliss. I would almost describe it as wholesome. Everyone cleaned up after lunch. There was a family dog walk and two new games played and some presents saved until the afternoon.
