I often tell myself my obsessions with television, sports, democracy, breakfast tacos, and keeping America blue are totally normal. Because the last didn’t happen, I’ve switched platforms. Writer and lady with a new baby.
Chuck Schumer is utterly useless. Dude can’t keep a caucus of 45 people together when Nancy Pelosi had no problem keeping 222 VERY different types of democrats on the same page. He must be primaried.

It’s always a great feeling to leave your job to move to a new city, have a high risk pregnancy and therefore stay out of the workforce and learn, the week before your new job search starts, that jobs don’t necessarily exist anymore. Great timeline! Fun! A rough job search is perfect for a new mom!

My son will be 6mo in a little over a week. I’m already terrified to send him to school. We need sensible gun violence legislation NOW and it needs to last long enough to protect the next generation of students. And the one after that. And the one after that. And… you get it.

These children were 8 and 10 - it’s sick to claim they had a firm grasp on religion or claim that anything in this situation would bring any sort of peace no matter their beliefs. Just disgusting.

I’m in California with a newborn so I had no clue Brad Lander existed before tonight. My son has been asleep for 28 minutes. In that that time I’ve discovered, learned to admire, and would now happily go to the ends of the earth for that man. He needs to run a national campaign.

Hi, huge Giants fan over here (but raised in the DMV by a dad from NJ) so I’m obviously pissed the Eagles won, but I’m super happy for the 2.0 Commanders (and for my sister who is a lifelong WFT fan). I now think it would be very cool if the Ravens win so I-95 can really have its moment in the sun.

Going the other direction (kinda) - I’m grateful I relapsed after 9 years of sobriety because I divorced my abusive/narcissistic ex-husband, met my fiancé who showed me what a true partnership looks like on my new sobriety journey and am now 26 weeks pregnant with my/his/our first child.
Thanksgiving challenge! What’s something that you never thought you’d be grateful for but today you are?
Me: I’m thankful for being arrested in 2014. It propelled me to get clean from a 14yr opioid addiction. Clean 10-years now.
But I’m REALLY grateful for the friends and family who support me.

Everyone is so concerned with the Bills/Chiefs game, but I’m just grateful the Giants have a bye so I don’t have to go through my weekly game day hope/depression cycle.
