When I phone bank or canvass I’m reminded of how many people are too busy just trying to survive to engage with politics. Feeling so grateful for all the @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social + @yesonaffhousing.bsky.social volunteers and @opennewyork.org members today.

Six more hours! Let’s get it done! 🗳️

“Low-density zoning and ULURP were not designed to protect tenants, they haven’t protected tenants in the past two decades, and they won’t protect tenants in the future. If we want [social housing], we need to build it — and we need to change the rules to make that possible.” Let’s go! Yes on 2-5!

Short explanation of what the deal is with "affordability" in the housing ballot proposals, since people have lots of questions - mainly stemming from the fact that our existing system is so complicated to begin with! (Explanation first, some personal commentary after)

If you care about homelessness and affordable housing, I cannot stress how important it is to vote ✅ YES on #2-4.

Without these reforms, there's no way we can address the housing crisis in NYC that is causing historic highs in homelessness.

Great piece from @errollouis.bsky.social about how important a yes vote on ballot questions 2, 3, 4, 5 is to NYC’s ability to take on our affordability crisis.

You’ll see obfuscation and name-calling, but no solutions from those who say the current system is just fine.

"“This policy only deepens the criminalization of these essential workers, exposing them needlessly to deportation,” Los Deliveristas Unidos, which represents app-based delivery workers, wrote in a statement."
The best evidence that this new speed limit is a haphazard, half-assed initiative is that the Adams administration seemingly has no coherent plan for implementing it.
