I have an advanced degree and I have an awful time trying to figure out how airlines price their flights
In recent years airlines’ pricing techniques have grown ever more sophisticated. We analysed prices across 3,200 routes to investigate their charges for solo travellers
Airlines’ favourite new pricing trick
Our analysis shows that some carriers have started charging more for solo travellers

Oh geez. Just what we need. Cutting regulations so already corrupt corporations can do even more to damage the environment, and us.
The DOGE Service is using an artificial intelligence tool to eliminate federal regulations, with plans to slash about 100,000 regulatory rules by January 2026, the one-year anniversary of President Donald Trump's second term, according to The Washington Post.

Trump is a day late for this statement. The time to act was months ago. I don’t believe any amount of emergency aid will truly put an end to the scenes of desperation. Israel has got to end hostilities.

Trump is in waay over his head on this. He’ll end up screwing around get us into a shooting war with Iran.
In considering an Iran strike, Trump looks as if he’s casting about for a foreign policy win to brag about in this first year.

Go Kaitlin, go Kaitlin…
Donald Trump has a habit of telling reporters he will have an answer in “two weeks,” which buys the President some time to come up with an answer, but it seems like his time is up with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins calling him out.

Grays Harbor County in Washington secured a federal grant to pay for a much-needed levee with bipartisan support. Then the Trump administration cut the program.

It is all about the perception that the GOP is “managing” Medicaid fraud, but the cruelty is the main objective
Arkansas' experiment with Medicaid work requirements found no evidence of increased employment but substantial reductions to health care coverage and access.

The GOP is still pushing for nationwide implementation in their massive spending bill. buff.ly/376e041 #medicaid #polisky
There’s no evidence work requirements for Medicaid recipients will boost employment, but they are a key piece of Republican spending bill
Past experience suggests that adding work requirements to Medicaid will strip health services from millions of American without increasing employment.

Tribal college leaders said they were stunned by the proposed cuts to their already insufficient funding and had more questions than answers.

“It’s a dagger, and I don’t know how we can survive these types of cuts,” one college president said.

It starts with the little things then it blossoms into full-scale controlling every aspect of government down to the periods on a page.
It's bad that USDA political leadership reportedly interfered for political purposes with the timing and text in a report around a statistical release.

Cold comforts: they reportedly didn't interfere with the statistical estimates per se. Similar reports have not emerged from BLS, BEA, nor Census.
Very ominous: Trump administration officials delayed and censored a govt forecast because it predicts an increase in the nation’s trade deficit in farm goods later this year
