Democrats pride themselves on being inclusive of all peoples and being a "big tent" of many different ideas. Without losing those qualities, how can they get organized to effectively combat Republicans' single minded march to the new Gilded Age of tech barons and oligarchs?

Welp. Tomorrow's elections tell the tale. Mondami is forecast to win by a decent margin, and the governor's race in Virginia is polling 7-10% in favor of the Dem candidate. If those results come back red in spite of predictions, we might have lost our free and fair election system. We shall see.

Thinking of ways to spend my dollars in support of people, not corporations.
1. Shop locally- fruits and vegetables at the farmers market, meats from a local butcher, cut down on processed foods as much as possible.
2. Shop with local charity shops instead of big box stores.

OK folks, I know the current political dumpster fire is a hot mess, but let's stay on top of the other stuff, too. How are you prepping for the inevitable issue of H1N5 becoming human transmissible in the next few months to a year or two?? Ideas in the comments, please and thank you!
