Americans are paying more for groceries and electricity, and now their health care premiums are rising too. Republicans need to stop being a rubber stamp for President Trump and start working with us to protect the health care tax credits millions depend on.

@rebeccasolnit.bsky.social Came across your quote on the Cleve Jones cover and am amazed by your overt bi erasure. Forget that there is a B in LGBTQ? You ignore half of the LGBTQ community.

As the current admin turns its sights on erasing bisexuals, it’s sad to see this coming from within.

I wish more people would talk about this! This is more dangerous than stripping Medicaid—and that is horrendous!
Because Trump is losing in the courts, Republicans are trying to change the rules to rig the system.

Tucked in the Big, Ugly bill is a provision that would restrict judiciary contempt proceedings from enforcing court orders & holding Admin. officials accountable.

This is textbook authoritarianism.

Medicaid covers 40% of all births in this country and 40% of health care for all kids.

It provides postpartum care in nearly every state and makes reproductive care accessible to more than 16 million women.

Remember this every time you hear a Republican pretend to care about family values.

Hayes: Every provision in this program is cruel and they know it. That's why none of them spoke on it in committee. That's why they have no response. That's why they don't hold town halls. That's why they don't answer questions. All they do is tweet, repeat, and hide in the back until they vote yes

They are ashamed of what they are doing.

Or if they aren’t, they should be.
House GOP leaders are telling the rank-and-file not to spill the beans about their plans to slash Medicaid. MAGA Republicans are constantly scrambling to deny their actual plans because we Americans reject their top-down warfare on the working-class majority.
House GOP leaders urge lawmakers to avoid specifics in Medicaid fight
The House Republican leadership has privately warned rank-and-file GOP lawmakers to refrain from publicly drawing red lines over Medicaid cuts.

Those red states are really going to feel a lack of FEMA. Tornado Alley runs through Trumpland and Big Daddy doesn’t want to take care of them any more.

Today’sTesla takeover in Boston was feisty with people talking to each other and cheering each other on. Out-of-towners stopped to tell us about their own demonstrations back home. And this beautiful rainbow garden flag! 250 years since Paul Revere’s ride and we ain’t going back!

Was at an event tonight and someone’s aunt, who had been a green card holder for 50 years (five decades) went out of country for a visit and was not let back in. She was just deported, for visiting another country. After 50 years.

This is not about illegal immigration.

I’m sorry, and did anyone ask Musk that in the Oval Office or in the cabinet meeting? His casual attire wouldn’t be tolerated by anyone else.
Actual question from reporter: "Why don't you wear a suit?"

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy: "I will wear costume after this war will finish.

Has anyone noticed Trump is orchestrating a peace process in the Russia Ukraine war without Ukraine being involved? I know it’s hard to protest everything but I have seen very little reaction to this. It feels like another disaster waiting to happen.

Keep remembering, folks, that Trump has never won an election with 50% of the vote.

Only 49.8% of voters who bothered to get off their ass in 2024 voted for him. (45.9% in 2016)

More Americans do not want him as president. WE are in the majority.

There is no frigging mandate!

We are heartbroken to lose the indomitable force that is our former president, Cecile Richards. In her 12 devoted years of service to our org, she brought us to new heights in our health care, education, and advocacy work.

She was the embodiment of “Care, no matter what.”
