It's wildly frustrating to learn that I am not the only person in a child-acting-as-caregiver role who flagged memory issues to a doctor/specialist and had them follow up by asking the parent with said issues: "So, how's your memory?"

Grateful to soon hang up my mantle of "interim editorial manager." But also proud of the team I work with and happy to note that in the five months I was in the role I spearheaded changes to our portal system to make sure editors were getting paid appropriate rush fees. It's a WIP, but almost there!
