Really enjoyed attending this fantastic event by @reformpoliticalads.bsky.social around regulation of political advertising. And yes, that is a #LibDemBarChart in 2nd pic! Some big challenges but if parties/candidates aren’t trustworthy in campaign, we’ll never rebuild trust in politics in general.
🙃 “If you advertise a packet of crisps there’s four different sets of regulations you have to abide by. If you’re advertising for a political campaign there’s practically none.”

Why did you abstain on the Employment Rights Bill @charlotte-cane-mp.bsky.social? I understand you said at your meeting in Waterbeach you would likely support it? What is it about strengthening rights to things like sick pay whilst on probation you disagree with? Really disappointing.

Growing the economy and providing jobs outside the South East with wages significantly above the national average.

Apart from a culture war there is absolutely no benefit in Reform or the Tories attacking net zero. And by the election, the net zero war will have been won!

Busy weekend campaigning in the Castle division in Cambridge along with our fantastic candidate for the West Chesterton by-election, Rosy Greenlees! Lots of people bringing up #potholes, so very happy to tell them about the extra £10m from govt across Cambs and Peterboro to address this!

Out and about in the Castle division. The cold weather doesn’t stop #Labour getting out to listen to residents. Good to get a cuppa in front of the fire afterwards though!

Out talking to residents in Castle division this afternoon and great to hear from lots of people voting #Labour in May. Residents know it is a binary choice between @mayordrnik.bsky.social and the Tory for Mayor, and all I spoke to wanted the former! It might be cold, but the welcome was warm! 🌹

Mayoral precept frozen, £2 bus fare cap extended, Tiger pass £1 fare offer for U25s extended, 80% of precept-funded bus routes running (more to come in spring)…so much good news from @mayordrnik.bsky.social! #TheGoodThatLabourDoes

Lib Dems trying to mislead!
There are 61 county councillors - they missed 6 Indy councillors.
Labour and some Indys are in a joint administration with the LDs - voting for 'other parties' didn't help the Tories. In fact quite the opposite!

Great to see the government putting its money where its mouth is. Because all the strategies and policies and promises in the world mean nothing without the magic money tree. Especially when councils are going bankrupt under funding pressures linked to TA. www.gov.uk/government/n...

The Tories want to:
❌ Scrap paid holidays
❌ End rest breaks
❌ Remove the cap on excessive working hours
❌ Block protections against sexual harassment

No rights, no thanks.

Delighted to see this campaign over here. Am a huge supporter. They do such a great job in pointing out misleading content in political leaflets. And have featured Lib Dem material local to me on a handful of occasions. Shame the LDs ignore them. Their campaign is non party-political however.
