Mad and Max are on their In-N-Out burger run, when who do they see? Jane, Max's VP of Finance that Mad and Max have been uncovering her embezzling back at the office and Max plans for fire the next day.

Spying a black hoodie laying idly on the backseat, she threw it over her head and upper body, trying to hide her red blouse, attempting to blend in with the car’s dark granite gray upholstery, thankful her skirt and shoes were black. At least her hair was still pinned up and confined. Peeking out from the edge of the hoodie, she saw Max hold up a hand and try and partially shield his face from being seen.

While on a walk outside of her village, Nin's necklace had fallen from her neck. A mischievous raven swooped in and carried it into the sacred forest and set it down, as if to taunt Nin to come and get it.

She listened to hear if there was the sound of music, for she had learned since she was a small child to never follow the enchanting sounds into the sacred forest, as it was the fairies, and she would be lured beneath Mulhcráeb where they lived. It was Lughnasadh, one of the special nights of the years the fairies had come out to play and troop. If she were to fall under their enchantment, she may not return for years, and upon returning, she would spend her days lamenting to return. There were tales of those who had withered away, no longer possessing any appetite for mortal food, having lost all its flavor. Those who had returned from the fairy realm pined away the rest of their short remaining days for fairy food.

Madison is used to working later, and back in New York, there were LOTS of late night dining options. In Silicon Valley, most restaurants close up around 8 or 9, so dining options past that are few and far between.

We should pack and go soon; there is a storm on the way.” His tone was serious, and he hurried in packing. Nin cooked what may be their last hot meal for days depending on the size of the storm. This was the time of year when storms would be start up again. They had been blessed with mostly good weather, but as the year progressed from Summer towards Autumn, the rains returned. She hoped the barley was ripe enough to harvest back in the fields as harvesting wet barley was more likely to lead to rot over the winter months.

Nin is looking forward to the Autumnal festival, her favorite time of the year for many reasons, mostly in hopes that she may be picked by the lottery as Queen of the Forest and the forest god will carry her away

In less than a month she would begin brewing the ale for the Autumnal festival that honored Cráeb, God of the Forest, he who provided wood to cask the ale brewed, provide timber to build houses and kindling to keep them warm during the cold Winter months. His acorns provided additional food when crops failed, and fruit that ripened in the sacred forest fed the animals that provided game to hunt. The festival was one of the four major seasonal festivals the village observed and honored. The Spring festival honored Eostre, the Summer festival that honored Áine, and Winter Yule with the honoring of Cailleach. The Autumnal festival was her favorite as the freshly harvested barley made the best ale of the year, the food was the best of all the festivals featuring apples and hazelnuts roasted with caraway and honey, and acorn cakes, in addition to being held the day before her birthday, the first day after the full Autumnal moon.

Nin felt her mouth go dry. His body was built like no man she had ever seen before. She had seen men shirtless in the fields, but Darach…he had muscles in places she didn’t know men could have muscles. Well defined and rippling. This now explained why he could carry her up the stairs as if she weighed nothing at all. His arms were as thick as tree branches. To Nin’s relief, he kept his breeches on as he laid down shirtless, pulling her cloak over himself for a blanket.

Lots of food = s3x analogy in my WIP. Max grew up working in his parents' restaurant which has one Michelin star. Later on, they even go out for an In-N-Out burger run.

Instead of having a woman easily handing herself over on a plate with no finesse, like a mass-produced tray of burgers and fries, it might actually be interesting to slowly savor each piece of Madison, like a well staged leisurely multi-course meal instead, the anticipation of what might be served next drawing out the enjoyment. There was nothing wrong with fast food, but one remembers the fine dining experience that opened one’s mind to the complex mingling of flavors for years to come. A quick burger can barely be remembered the next day. Her moans of pleasure from a simple massage were the equivalent of that first inhalation of kitchen scents giving one an indication of something wonderful to be devoured later, and that was enough to whet his appetite for more.

I definitely want to collaborate because I want to work with a screen writer to make sure it's not a complete and utter mess. That's a hard pick and I don't have anyone specific in mind, but someone who has written screenplays before. #castpit

It would have to be a TV series since only novellas and short stories are best adapted to movie format without having many subplots and details dropped.

Nin has always felt that she been treated as an outsider in her own village.

Text: A Sylvan Tale #WIPSnips "local" Nin had tried to be sociable, but when she tried to be, it seems people only wanted her around when they wanted something from her. Even when she had tried to join the women washing laundry in the nearby stream when she was fourteen, eager to participate in the singing and local gossip of what seemed like a social sisterhood, she was excluded. Coming to wash her own clothes and officially a woman, as soon as Nin showed up, everyone began making polite exits as to why they had to leave even though they had not finished their washing. It had taken some months of Nin doing her own washing that she finally got the hint that she was not welcome. Though, when they wanted a nice tall person to help tie up laundry line, they always flagged Nin down for help. Which is why the solitude of working alone in the back suited her just fine. It left her less resentful at the end of the day. Her satisfaction was knowing she made a great vat of ale. But her greatest satisfaction was her garden, growing things, working in the sun or light misting rain.
