I think it's sick and fuckin twisted that my masters programme forces me to write a little thing before every seminar it is my legal right as a student to sometimes just be woefully underprepared for a seminar sitting there nodding like I know what I'm talking about when in truth idk a dang thing!!!

If I had a nickel for every time a pc in our dnd campaign has bitten another pc as a joke only for our dm to look horrified and start flipping through documents, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot. But you know, weird that we decided to bite someone a second time?

Spent a few hours at the Swedish History Museum recently, and among all the shiny viking objects on show, this simple carved duck from Birka stood out to me. Ascribed all kinds of sublime and symbolic roles, it may have simply been a kid's toy; a beloved, ordinary plaything without frills or fuss 🦆
