I started watching a historical Japanese drama and got completely side-tracked 3 seconds in by a reference to the main character as a "Prince of God" and even though I know most people past and present believe in god/gods, I somehow manage to stay surprised at the deification of historical people.

I know Die Hard is traditional, but I watched the five movie Taiwanese gangland Gatao franchise instead. Then rounded things off with Ang Lee's excellent Eat Drink Man Woman.
