Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Bovino is not enough. Steven Miller & Secretary Noem are complicit in the murder of a patriotic American citizen, who they disgustingly slandered as an “assassin” and a “domestic terrorist.” Resign, get fired, or face impeachment. They both need to go. Now.

The Border Patrol chief has been ousted from his role as “commander at large,” and will return to El Centro.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

This is an executive order that lays the groundwork for sending homeless people and people with mental illness to concentration camps to be "civilly committed." It was never going to stop with immigrants.

This is horrifying beyond words.

The Trump admin in a nutshell; in order to justify their own mistake, they’re going to release a violent felon with five deportations so he can testify against the guy with no criminal record they mistakenly deported.

In other words, the story is always more important than the principle.
The Trump admin has freed Jose Hernandez Reyes because he can testify against Abrego Garcia.

Hernandez, who has been deported 5 times, has also been arrested for:

—DUI w/ a handgun;
—cocaine possession;
—illegally transporting migrants; and
—drunkenly firing a gun.

Star witness against Kilmar Abrego García was due to be deported. Now he’s being freed.
Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes is a three-time felon released early from federal prison to a halfway house in exchange for testifying against Kilmar Abrego García.

What Katie said…
Hey there. You know how we are always telling you on public radio that public radio can only happen because of you, our listeners? Well… We really need you to contact your senators and tell them that things like local emergency alerts, Fresh Air and The Children’s Hour are all worth saving.
As CNN’s Brian Stelter reports, House of Reps votes today on package pulling back previously approved funding for public media. If it passes, the Senate will have 5 weeks to consider. Hard to imagine a time when public media has faced a greater challenge. loom.ly/erQ1Scc
