If/when I become homeless, I'll probably choose to do something to myself to be free from suffering that I won't specify.

You could choose to hire my cybersecurity writing and research: kimcrawley.com

You could choose to join our fight: stopgenai.com

Otherwise, count me as a casualty to Gen AI.

I met Delchi in the 90’s, and every time we hung out he would have some new hack or creation to show me. He never tired of seeking knowledge and always wanted to use it for good. No hardware was safe around him.

In the early 90’s, long before “proxmark” RFID readers existed Delchi built a suitcase sized device. A cloner that could copy any cards near by. That was the kind of hacker frank was. Way ahead of his time.

Delchi was one of the most intluential and inspirational hackers of our time. I would not have become who I am without Delchi’s influence and companionship over the last 30 years.

His light was so bright that everything seems a little darker now.

Delchi was a giant of a man in so many ways. It’s easy to forget that he was a legend in the DJ world, a master craftsman, an artist, an engineer, a pioneer and a hacker in the truest sense of the word.

His light was so bright that everything seems a little darker now.

I will miss you Brother.

For those that aren’t aware… He was also a committed DefCon Goon and gave back to the community any opportunity he had.

Goodbye my friend.

I’m glad we were able to spend time together recently.

Thanks for the hug and thank you for showing me you kept the fire in your eyes through the very end :)

The picture is Delchi at one of the famous L0pht parties.

People attended from around the world.

*Hobbit* (nc(1) - Netcat) ran his professional laser show,

I performed Guitar (Berklee College of Music),

Delchi DJ’d (and auctioned underwear?),

Schneier, Weitse Venema, et al, shared thanks…

Delchi was an extraordinary cDc fan and dedicated supporter and maintainer of the ninja strike force, in ways that were sometimes complicated but which always came from a place of real commitment and enthusiasm.

He will be missed.

*FINAL MUSTER*

CULT OF THE DEAD COW is saddened to report that longtime cDc Ninja Strike Force member, Delchi, has passed over the great rainbow teleconference bridge.

He can now be found amongst the most blessed celestial engineers, venerating the great DemonSeed Elite, k-rad be his name.

Please bear with me - Social Media is still nonsense to me. I previously used Twitter to keep in touch with people from Hathian and other places. I am here now. Looking to re-connect.

I think there are a number of people employed at the New York Times -- certainly not all of them, but many! -- who simply do not grasp how badly the paper's credibility has been shaken over the past few years, along several different axes, and for multiple different reasons

A guy (The most well know pedophile and sex trafficker in America) emailing a reporter (a member of a well know and old news organization) about old girlfriends (Very young and vulnurable women) or saying someone is dirty (A major presidential candidate and well know sleezebag)
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

If you say things on TV like "Raping an 8yo is worse than raping a 15yo" you should be launched into a volcano

Yes, there is technically a difference between pedophilia and ephebophilia, but if you stressing that difference outside of an academic setting, you best know I'm side-eyeing yo ass

This is one of the most egregious statements a woman can say about girls being molested and sexually assaulted. There is no difference as it is all sexual violence. Shame on her as a woman. I true vile pick me.

Seriously? A 15 year old is NOT "barely legal." She is still years away from being legal AT ALL. Stop whitewashing pedophilia. Stop trying to blur the lines.

something I find very telling is the attitude among normie dems these days

in Trump 1.0, the Times was the center of the “resistance” - often fueling with the Post for what felt like daily scoops

in Trump 2.0, the paper’s disinterest in actual adversarial reporting is noticeable and people are mad

idk the NYT called up ms rachel to ask if she was funded by hamas so i'm not sure the NYT exactly has impeccable judgment on what makes a whole news story
