It's 100x more egregious when they literally use the original shots frame for frame, like you didn't have anything else you wanted to say? You didn't have any other points of view? You just have a cognitive dissonance where you both respect animation but are embarrassed by that? Got it.

I find that there’s usually a direct line between people who habitually post unattributed artwork and AI boosterism. Like, if they already act like images just appear out of the ether and have no provenance, they’re also very likely already openly hostile to artists.

I've already accepted that I'm not a good or bad artist. Just decent. Average. Ordinary. At times, this realization makes me sad cos I'll probably never be able to make a living from my art, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter how mediocre am I, cos I still enjoy drawing, and that's enough ❤️🩹

I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.
