Alaska life includes not a single nearby grocery store having the last three items I need for one of my dinner ideas at a singular store. Often, I’ll go to 2-3 stores in a week for all we need, but even my top 3 don’t have burrata right now. 😑

11 years ago today, we received the best early Christmas present. I can’t believe my oldest is 11. I’m so lucky to be his Mom. 🥹

Caught this moose walking into traffic. Moose aren’t deterred by busy streets, cars, even the highway. Sometimes, it means they’re hit, but fortunately this moose was moving slowly and cars were aware of it crossing.

We seem to have an area resident moose. It’s youngish & I hope it finds my pumpkins on the front porch. Day made. 🤗

Yesterday, I was a chaperone on 8’s field trip to the @AlaskaSeaLife It was amazing, as usual. This precious seal made all everyone’s day. Born w/ a neurological condition & was SO playful w/ the kids through the glass. 🥹🩷

On X: “real experts know attachment theory is BS”. It’s not, but I asked for peer-reviewed evidence-based research stating so. She shared a link to a book about parenting from a former tech guy, now podcaster that was banned from YouTube bc of hate speech/racism. 😵💫 🤦🏼♀️

Serious question: if a blood sample is only good for 48hrs so you know it has to be run in that time, why does it take weeks to get the result?? What happens during that in between time period? Genuinely curious about the process. #phlebotomist

3YO finally understands trick-or-treating concept. However, he misunderstood that you can’t just walk into every house w/ a dog. 🤣🙈 “Can I pet your dog?” as he’s walking into neighbor’s homes. 😬

Have been waiting on results of labs for like 3weeks to try & figure out my diagnosis. Nurse called today & the outside lab changed their codes so they need another blood sample with the new, correct code. 😑😑😑

Waldo ripped my @cotopaxi puffer jacket that I bought brand new last winter. They don’t even sell it anymore. I’m so mad about it. Looking into using @RuggedThread to repair it. Anyone ever used them? If so, how was the repair?

Yesterday, I was laying down w/ 3YO to try & get him to sleep for nap-time. I was closing my eyes & feel a little finger poke in my forehead. I open my eyes & he goes “Now there’s a booger on your forehead.” 😝

Talking to my Dad on the phone yesterday. Him: “You caught me at just the right time. I just finished stretching & light weights. I was just about to go ride 9 miles on the stationary bike.” He’s in his 70’s. Genetically, what happened to me?! 🤣😩

My 10YO paired a computer keyboard to be a remote control for our TV. I didn’t even know you could do that. He’s always doing stuff w/ electronics like this. He’s in a tech/coding club at school, but suggestions for other activities?
