The mortgage fraud claim against Lisa Cook is false, per documents obtained by Reuters.

Bill Pulte's accusation, the sole pretext Trump used to fire her from the Fed, was that she claimed two homes as primary residence.

These docs show she did not.

Exclusive: Fed Governor Cook declared her Atlanta property as “vacation home,” documents show
A loan estimate for an Atlanta home purchased by Lisa Cook, the Federal Reserve governor accused of mortgage fraud by the Trump administration, shows that Cook had declared the property as a “vacation home,” according to a document reviewed by Reuters.

I grew up in TN, I just counted from a simple scroll down my feed. 11 out of the first 25 were complaining about the rebrand on FB, most calling it woke.
Just like the jeans thing a few weeks ago, people are saying online that “everyone” is (something) regarding Cracker Barrel. A few loud people care and the rest are memeing to ride the “outrage” wave of social media clout. I think that “no one cares” is closer an approximation than “everyone cares.”

I was born in 1985. I like to describe this experience as, "born in the 80s but remember the 70s."

I cannot fully explain it, but that description feels perfect. Black and white TVs, rotary phones, beta-max, drunk driving as socially acceptable behavior.

I saw this headline, and thought, "god, I hope they gave this to Katie."

Not thinking in a million years it was her!

I *finally* found my ASMR sound: the quiet rattling of a child silently putting away their toys.

I needed an economic catharsis or otherwise the current era was going to drive me insane. I also will always and forever be completely devoted to educating anybody willing to listen to basic economics.

So, here I am discussing Monetary Policy and Fed Independence: youtube.com/watch?v=ZEer...

I cannot imagine the degradation of content over there now. When I kicked off over a year ago it was already reading like an old Ebaum's World thread, with even more racism and misogyny.

Watching all these Northeast liberal academic powers fold like cheap suits to Trump reaffirms my strong belief we need far more southerners getting PhDs.

Mark my words, Trump will rip the football away again very soon and Columbia will give more and Trump will move it again. Does nobody at Columbia understand game theory?

One of the things I was not prepared for was extent simply holding to account a president over decorum would be considered silly political correctness, so much that a so-called hostile press seems to largely turn a blind eye. POTUS called the Fed Bank Chairman "stupid." And it wasn't even a story.

Every year goes by and my self-delusion of enjoying the beach, despite almost never really doing so when there, is bitterly eroded. It's self-care.
Went to the beach again, 0/5 stars, still a moron’s idea of fun

I'm slowing realizing the only way people will ever accept replacing human customer service with AI is to get them so used to terrible service they will willfully accept the high propensity of error in AI service functions (e.g. insurance denials) because it will seem no worse.

I was there for MK from the jump. It was culturally significant in ways I cannot explain. I had 3 xmases of MK, MKII, MKIII Ultimate for the SNES as THE gifts I wanted.

Passing notes of fatalities, blood codes, Reptile, Smoke, "Toasty!"

Cinematically this might be manure, but I'll love it still.
First trailer for ‘Mortal Kombat 2’

Keeping phone calls to family outside your zip code short due to high long-distance fees.
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.

Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.

Andreessen is a literal billionaire. I just recently and barely became net positive in assets at the age of 40. For my entire adult life I've felt nothing but stupefying and unearned privilege despite being from a broken home absent any college degrees. What the hell is Andreessen whining about?!
Only in America could a white man with a current net worth of $2 billion see himself as part of a victimized group. 🤦‍♂️
