the impact of this on staff morale and wellbeing needs to be studied and acted upon. we need to look after those who look after others, especially if they’re working in conditions like these
One nurse told The Sunday Times: "We had an elderly patient who was end-of-life & because we didn’t have space, she was moved onto the corridor & she passed away there. I think that was one of the saddest moments. It’s so inhumane, it’s awful."

She is thinking about quitting.
Hospital advertises for 12hr 'corridor nurse' shifts while many across England prepare for patients to be stacked waiting for a bed www.thetimes.com/article/410d...

Truly an indictment of our profession that senior physicians are ok with this.
merry christmas to all! but especially to newly graduated FY1 doctors, the lowest paid staff in the hospital today and the first doctors who’ll see you if you get sick today

Disney princesses face serious health risks, warn experts.

Disney must consider ways to improve princesses’ wellbeing, including mindfulness, training on cohabitation with animals, and personal protection measures against toxic particles

i would ask if this is some kind of sick joke but of course it’s not !! it’s just another day in post graduate medical recruitment in the uk !!
just found out about the so-called “goldilocks zone” of clinical experience that you are meant to have when applying to a speciality and if you go over it you’re either banned from applying or have points deducted 🤪

this is so unbelievably not normal what on earth is going on in the nhs
It's completely unacceptable that due to poor planning, some trusts will fail to meet their backpay obligations to resident doctors in England this month.

We continue to hold trusts and NHS Employers accountable for this. (1/2)
