Hi! 👋 I am working to make #SpikingNeuralNetworks the next big thing for #MachineLearning. Currently I'm at SynSense, focussed on applications for #SNNs, as well as toolchains to enable ML and SW Engineers to use our #Neuromorphic technology for low-power sensing and processing.
AI accelerationists frequently hype the amazing increases in productivity that AI will deliver, and the enormous benefits to society that will result.

Sending raw sensory data to the cloud is so 2022.

More and more compute capacity is rushing to the network edge — in-sensor computing is the next big thing, and #neuromorphic processor cores are ready to step into the commercial limelight.

What a horrifying article to see posted by the premier science journal. Attacks on scientists and on science are direct attacks on the rational basis for liberal democracies. None of this is normal or acceptable, and leads very quickly to a very dark place.
All scientists, regardless of their discipline or location, are potential targets for online hate. But there are things you can do to protect yourself, and resources that can help. Nature provides five steps to get started. #Academicsky 🧪

Government is big business. *Somebody* has to do the work required to keep public agencies grinding along. If you fire full-time staff, you spend much more in personnel contracting, consultants and private firms taking up the contracts.

🤔 Funny, sounds just like #LNP policy… #Dutton #auspol

In absolutely unsurprising news, #Dutton and the #LNP jump into a #cultureWar beat-up, to support #Hanson 's revolting anti-trans bullshit imported from the USA. @albomp.bsky.social and #Labor need to step in a progressive direction quick-smart, if they want to avoid a lurch to the right. #auspol
