Schumer needs to step down! It's completely unacceptable for him to back down.
I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Good for them, but expect denial about Jewish Voices for Peace's involvement—they were, after all, denied credit for organizing the Columbia protests advocating for a ceasefire.

Here's the issue: you're relying on Congress to learn to drive before it's too late, hoping for a miracle instead of realizing that you have the ability to take control and steer the car yourself.
