Does anyone else out there who works with proteins or proteomics explicitly pronounce AA sequences to keep them straight? Like, ...TKLTVL... becomes "Tuckletivel". It's handy -- we've got almost the whole alphabet to work with. Geneticists must be all, like, "AAGGG!" in frustration, poor bastards.
