Hi, BlueSky. It's Hillary.

I've joined up here to help get the word out about an important election in Wisconsin tomorrow, and other ways to defend our democracy against those who think votes can be bought.

The words on the uniforms say “Lumon,” but the style of the uniform, the demographic of the band, and the characteristic sound makes me think this is the Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South.

Y’all ever had a co-worker who made you so mad that you had to stop and do breathing exercises? I was trying to do a little due diligence on an opp he was working via Teams chat, and his response to me was “Dustin, I suggest you do a little research on me and back off.”

this is where the analogy to Brexit is really useful. A similar attitude that the US is completely self-sufficient and needs nothing from anyone. Too bad a lot of innocent people are gonna find out the hard way that this isn’t true.
There are going to be, I believe, a cascade of economic issues this summer related to the tourist industry. Fewer people will come here to travel. Fewer people will come here to work within the industry.
a friend flying home to the US from Heathrow texts from the runway: “I don’t think I’ve been on such an empty flight since October 2001. I wonder if people are reluctant to come to America now. It’s literally 5% full. If that."

The Dow fell a couple hundred points ONCE last fall, and there was 24 hours of wall-to-wall coverage in right-wing media calling it the “Kamala Crash.”

Lacrimosa feels like an odd choice for this kind of “in memoriam” tribute. #Oscars

People like the idea of “cutting the size of government” but then hate what that means in terms of actual material cuts. Tale as old as time.
Had a conversation with a non political person whose buddy works for the forest service and was 10 months into his job supplying hard to reach parts of a national forest and was fired. The guy talking to me was like “I don’t really think my buddy’s $50,000 salary is gonna balance the budget.”
most people know someone who works for the federal government in some capacity

and even the assholes who think all federal employees are moochers tend to make a personal exception for their buddy Jim

everyone is going to hear stories of how cruel and capricious this is

If I were forced to respond to that dumbass email, I would lie. Literally just for kicks. Highly doubt an AI would do any follow-up investigation.
